Southern Fried Chicken Recipe

 🍗 Southern Fried Chicken

A classic comfort food popular across the United States, especially in the South.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 8 chicken pieces (legs, thighs, or breasts)

  • 2 cups buttermilk

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for spice)

  • Vegetable oil (for frying)


Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken
    Place chicken in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is best).

  2. Prepare the coating
    In another bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne.

  3. Coat the chicken
    Remove chicken from buttermilk. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing firmly to coat well.

  4. Heat the oil
    Heat oil in a deep pan to about 350°F (175°C).

  5. Fry the chicken
    Fry 3–4 pieces at a time for 12–15 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked.

  6. Drain & Serve
    Place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or cornbread.

Instructions:

  1. Season chicken with spices and sauté 3–4 minutes.

  2. Fill taco shells with chicken.

  3. Add lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sauce.

  4. Serve immediately!

Ingredients:

  • 200g spaghetti

  • 4 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)

  • ¼ cup olive oil

  • Fresh parsley (optional)

  • Grated parmesan (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente.

  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté garlic until lightly golden.

  3. Add chili flakes.

  4. Toss cooked pasta into the pan with a little pasta water.

  5. Mix well, garnish with parsley and parmesan.

Ingredients:

  • 200g noodles

  • 1 cup shredded cabbage

  • ½ cup carrots (julienned)

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions:

  1. Boil noodles and set aside.

  2. Heat oil in a wok, sauté garlic.

  3. Add veggies and stir-fry on high flame.

  4. Add sauces and toss in noodles.

  5. Stir-fry 2–3 minutes and serve hot.
