Classic American Cheeseburger

 

🍔 Classic American Cheeseburger

A true American favorite—juicy, cheesy, and full of flavor!

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80% lean)

  • Salt and black pepper

  • 4 burger buns

  • 4 slices cheddar cheese

  • Lettuce leaves

  • 1 tomato (sliced)

  • Pickles (optional)

  • Ketchup and mustard

  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil


👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Make the patties
    Divide the ground beef into 4 equal parts. Shape into round patties (slightly larger than the buns). Season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. Cook the burgers
    Heat a pan or grill over medium-high heat. Cook patties for about 3–4 minutes per side.

  3. Add cheese
    Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover briefly so the cheese melts.

  4. Toast the buns
    Lightly butter the buns and toast them in the pan until golden.

  5. Assemble the burger
    Bottom bun → patty with melted cheese → lettuce → tomato → pickles → ketchup/mustard → top bun.
